For anyone interested

Our weekly group meets Wednesday nights at 7PM MST to play. We are currently doing RTS games I believe through December. Last week we did Natural Selection 2 (FPS/RTS) and Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition. Anyone who is interested, let me know. We usually have space, though the 8 player cap on so...

Yeah sounds like that isn't an issue, just try not to stomp us flat

Was asked to pass this along however:

Re: CK3 - Game Sept 13th

I've put it to the group. Thus far it's mostly been jokes and threats about the Crow of Judgment if you play early. I'll see how serious we are about it.

Fair point - we kick off at 7PM MST or 9PM EST. Typically play for about 3 hours.

Re: CK3 - Game Sept 13th

You thinking weekly or bi-weekly?

As well, if anyone is interested, the group I play with regularly is, on Wednesday Sept 2nd running a 'noob poop' game wherein we've all agreed not to play before and to utterly suck together as is tradition.

Re: HOI4: A Kaiser Knife Fight [KaiserReich]

Ottomans: Finally, the middle east, who I hope will someday be my saviour. The Ottomans suffered some initial reversals due to uprisings, but with Russian and German assistance (which has now been withdrawn due to the 2nd Weltkrieg) time will tell if the Ottomans are capable of holding those inroad...

Re: HOI4: A Kaiser Knife Fight [KaiserReich]

Europe: Shortly, as I need to start work, the European situation is largely unchanged. Germany put down a syndicalist uprising in Flanders (Belgium). Whether France was behind this is unclear. France has made significant inroads to Switzerland (largely due to Austria being unable to stop both the B...

Re: HOI4: A Kaiser Knife Fight [KaiserReich]

(Three image limit per post, sorry!) Russia: Savinkov quickly centralized power within the Russian state and became the sole source of authority within all levels of Government. Determined to reverse the humiliation inflicted upon the Russians in the first Weltkrieg, he undertook a program of rapid ...

Re: HOI4: A Kaiser Knife Fight [KaiserReich]

Forgot to update after last week; so here it is ahead of tonight's session. I am going to do the major powers, focusing on wars roughly chronologically. For each, I am providing a mid '38 shot and session end shot. America: Washington DC, and with it, President MacArthur, has fallen. The federalists...

Re: HOI4: A Kaiser Knife Fight [KaiserReich]

Will do, we play each Wednesday. Added a Europe shot. To give everyone an idea of the factions: Germany is currently allied with Belgium (Flanders), Poland, Lithuania, United Baltic Duchy, White Ruthenia, and Kingdom of Ukraine. This is the Reichspakt. Austria is allied to Switzerland, Italian Feder...

Re: HOI4: A Kaiser Knife Fight [KaiserReich]

Contains mild spoilers of the KaiserReich storyline. The Russian Empire At the start of '36, Russia is in poor but not terrible condition. The economy is wrecked by Black Monday (collapse of the German stock market) and reparation payments being paid to the filthy Kaiser. The assassination of Keren...

HOI4: A Kaiser Knife Fight [KaiserReich]

So after a few rounds as majors, mixed, minors, and mixed, we've picked up Kaiserreich which adds a ton of lore and 'story' events to many countries as well as focus trees to nearly every minor. It does not change the underlying game play or research at all AFAIK. Kaiserreich.jpg You can find a vagu...

Re: How to Play: Hearts of Iron IV

From my experience, it’s ultimately air that wins you naval battles. You want to have fighters and bombers flying over battles. Carriers seem to only be useful if you plan on fighting far away from your air bases. Good to know! We should hopefully have some air superiority around Japan between his ...

Re: How to Play: Hearts of Iron IV

...(as maybe the axis went a little silly with World Tension again). WT exists for 2 purposes. 1- Allow the Autocratic nations (the 'have nots') determine when they start WW2. 2- Delay the entry and ramp up of the US. While the value here is debatable as the US is no where near as strong in game as...
