I wouldn't mind playing a kaiserreich game at some point. The situation in that mod can lead to varying scenarios so if we can have a player on every major faction I think we could end up with a pretty interesting game.

I'll take Austria. Also, on a more serious note about the Ottoman thing, if it's an issue of power then I don't think it's really a problem since there's other strong powers that could balance it out.

From my experience, it’s ultimately air that wins you naval battles. You want to have fighters and bombers flying over battles. Carriers seem to only be useful if you plan on fighting far away from your air bases.

Total war with women in the workforce is the way to go. As for divisions, 40 width is the meta but how well you’re able to push depends on what template you’re using, your land doctrine, and if you have air superiority among other things.

So, how has the game been going?

I wouldn’t wait until ‘40 to start building carriers. It takes years to make a single battleship or carrier and you want as many of those as you can get by the time the war starts.

So something came up this weekend that’ll have me traveling out of the country for a few weeks. I won’t be able to make tonight’s session and it highly likely that I won’t be able to make the ones after that either.

Well at least it’s definitely more than I lost.

Just to clarify, me not guarding the home islands last game was more of a strategic decision than an oversight. I entered the war earlier than I would have liked because I was told that the US fleet was in the Mediterranean.
