I don't really measure fun by a win or a loss. What matters to me is that the game is engaging and path the game takes is interesting and enjoyable.

The purpose of this post is to document that Paradox released a new HoI4 DLC:

"The Resistance"

That is all.

Given that the zombie apocalypse is upon us, all my travel has been cancelled for the spring.

So if we _did_ want to start up a game in the forseeable future, I am unconstrained.

I'm out until at least mid April.

I have an out of state tournament on Mar 29th, after that I'm in town for a least 8-9 weeks. Also, around 6pm PST is about as early as I could start.

Yes, I could 90% play, too.

Is the tournament still a go?

In California, Governor Gavin has put the kebosh (kabache? cabash?) on gatherings.

If the sport tournament was cancelled, there may be an opportunity for e-sports!

There could be. I'm still trying to acquire a taste for HOI4. Stand by...

My computer was on the fritz for quite a while so I could not play but I recently had it repaired so I would be available for a game. I am very rusty at HOI4 so I started a 1 v. 1 Spanish Civil War game with Lobo to brush up but I still don't think I'm ready for a major power. I'd prefer to play one of the minors but if we cannot get enough players I'd be willing to control one of the "smaller" majors like Italy or the UK.

Oh, I recently bought Strategic Command: World at War on Steam. If anyone wants to try starting a game with me let me know. I've only played single player so I only have rookie level of experience.

I definitely don't recommend UK if you are rusty. For the Allies, I would either look at India (you mainly follow UK's lead and assist as needed), one of the other Commonwealth like Canada or Australia (less workload than India, and again just follow UK's lead), or USA (until war entry, you basically just build up tech and economy, and even when the action gets hot and heavy, it's the 1st choice to put an extra player as co-op). For Axis, Italy makes sense.

SC:WAW is really good. I'm currently playing with Altaris, and working on a modded campaign using 7 day turns instead of the standard 14 day turns.

Let me know when that is done....I'm really turned off by the 2 week progress. The lack of time granularity kills it for me.

I'm currently testing an adjustment to research. I'll throw you a link once I finish adding that in and have it tested.
