The Underground Tokyo Times
An independent newspaper financed by the London Bank™.
London Bank™: A great place to stash your weaponry dealing money©

In Japan, Emperor Cheeto is slowly sobering up to the realities of having engaged himself on so great a task as liberating the whole of Asia from Western Domination. Already, the people are barking to return to the yoke of their forefathers, and to continue to toil in slavery for Western interests. It bodes well for the London Bank, whose stock rose another 7% yesterday. We hope a split will occur in the Japanese Cabinet. Since joining the Axis, and therefore losing control over its foreign policy, Emperor Cheeto had a hard time to keep the Cabinet united. Some people wanted an independent course, others wanted to join the Communist, others yet wanted to stay at peace with the Allies, and finally a last group even wanted to ally the USA. But now that Cheeto did the manly deal to ally himself with the fledging, flickering, dubious, greedy and treacherous European Axis duo of Herr Furrrier and Mooselobo, all bets are off, and open rebellion is brewing. Only a strong clear change of fate of the Japanese arms will bring back the confidence of the people Cheeto once enjoyed.

In China, Changsha fell to the combined Japanese-Nankinese armies. In fact, Changsha was the only province captured by the Axis this session. A whole six weeks passed, and only one province was captured. You will notice I don't use the term 'conquered' but merely 'captured', because the province was a walk-in, our friend the Nationalist Chinese having to abandon it for strategic reasons unbeknownst to other countries, but likely to reduce their line. Chiang Kai-Shek has so far offered a brilliant defence, easily outwitting his Japanese foes.

In the seas surrounding Singapore, another sea battle happened, and again the victorious Commonwealth Fleet sank one DD-1 - a proof, if there need one, of the supremacy of the Allied Fleets. A tight network of masses of patrolling planes forbid entry to any and all Japanese shipping, leading to the detection of several Japanese fleets trying to exploit weaknesses in the Allied defensive system, but unable to find any. The Japanese CV fleet was spotted lurking in the south, while the above-mentioned naval battle happened while a second landing was attempted in Borneo, which was victoriously repulsed. The Sun shall set forever on the British Empire!

Around Siam, Japanese attempts to conquer Nakhon-Sawan were repulsed and ended in a bloodbath, the several divisions arriving there in echelon being defeated and severely mauled by a massive counter-attack, with the famed English Mathildas leading the way. This should put a definite halt to Japanese ambitions in the region, and it's only a question of time before the Allies start to regain territories lost earlier in the year.

With the French launching a new BB every week, and with all the nations of the world uniting to fight the bloodthirsty Axis powers, Victory is visible in the distance, and it's only a question of weeks before the Axis government collapse like a house of cards.

USA indicted in War Funding scandal!

Image

The isolationist party and democracies around the world were in outrage today as it was discovered by an illegal wire tap that some American capitalists have been supplying goods to the Italian Fascist war effort!
Morgan, Rockefeller, General Electric Company, Standard Oil, National City Bank, Chase and Manhattan banks, Kuhn, Loeb and Company, General Motors, Ford, and other industrialists, were all named as secret financiers of the Fascist parties.
Other U.S. companies which contributed heavily to the fascist war machine include Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) and Union Banking Corporation (UBC), both of New York.
Democracies around the world have expressed anger and a demand for explanation of the charges.

Franklin D. Roosevelt gave a public speech condemning these enemies of freedom, vowing to form a special government investigation into the matter.
"This country is already, in effect, an arsenal for the democratic Allies. The elements of fascism must not be allowed to foster and grow within our nation, and will be pursued and rooted out with the utmost vigor".

news flash: peace in europe at last!!!

the betrayal of the usa has caused the allied governments to collapse...mass riots in all major cities across the british empire...the newly formed conciliatory government announced an immediate plea for a cease fire and has offered the axis powers unconditional surrender...all allied forces were instructed to lay down their arms and not to resist axis forces...a new day dawns across the world under the proud flag of the axis powers...nations formally considered world powers have been reduced to mere shadows as the jackboots march through their capitals installing a new world order...what will happen to the usa now...will her fledgling army and ruthlessly insane dictator be able to liberate europe...will the stalinist regime of the ussr survive or shall they too both fall to the unstopable and ever victorious axis nations...only time shall tell

other news: brazil hastily condems allied aggression and pleads for understanding in its joining of the allies...this statement from the former president sums it up (he hasnt been heard from since a coup attempt forced him out of the presidential palace): "those wicked allies tricked us...we never intended to join them they lied and said that the usa was going to wage war and if we didnt help we would be next...pls be nice and let us live...pls..)

free world press: news flash:

in a stunning reversal the governments of the free world have retained control of their populace and promptly nullified any peace proposal with the HUN...war rages on in the free world...the sole remaining democracies of france and the uk shall provide 'an arsenal of democracy' to those oppressed by both the american demagouge and the hun dictators...the minister of defense stated the following: 'our armies remain vigilant and unified in both purpose and training and moral....we shall stand and fight on the beaches...in the air...and upon the waves....ever defiant...'

europe: more naked aggression by the HUN and his boot-lick italy...hun armored formations and airpower reduce the once proud city of the hague to rubble as the dutch army is forced to flee to england...ijn forces invade java...the end seems near for the dutch....however that last bastion of allied freedom still holds strong as the garrisons of gibraltar remain ever defiant...hun probing attacks are being launched daily...but the supreme commander-spain assures this reporter that the front is strong and can hold out indefinitely or until the soviets roar accross the polish border....

the americas: duplicit usa trades with the axis powers have shocked the world...but hope is restored by brazil (whos president was found consulting with his allies in the english embassy)...crack brazillian divisions even now are on their way to training camps in the UK and places abroad to integrate them into english doctrines and equipment...and a powerful battleship fleet sails to ports unknown to help stem the tied of HUN naval power...the french ambassador to the usa was recalled in light of the treacherous actions taken by the american people....his words ring clear in the ears of those remaining democracies "if the american jackass wants to give money to the forces of the HUN...well we see no reason to remain...we just hope the american people will listen and voice their anger at the polls like any true democracy"...could this be a sign that the once noble and now decrepit FDR may be on the way out...could the isolationist republicans win the 40 election...

asia: massive naval battles in the south pacific herald a japanese invasion of java....the uk minister of the worlds oceans was strangely quite concerning losses...could this then be the first sign of weakness from the allied fleets...have valiant allied ships been lost...is english naval dominance ending...is the minister of the worlds oceans going to have to change his title back to 1st lord of the admiralty?...intriguing questions to ponder one and all...the minister of all things flying over the world oceans has started a bold air campaign against the treacherous siamese people...the city of Bangkok now burns with a thousand lights (and not the good kind) as it is being sytematically reduced to rubble...commander of tank corps-singapore welcomes the addition of more armored formations to bolster his front...could renewed offensive actions be in the future...

other news: operation quicksilver seems to have been a complete success...recently declassified documents paint an intellegence coup...something to do with a proposed invasion of scandanavia and english carriers (which this reported has been assured remain in the pacific...or do they)....the massive french naval build program has sadly come to an end...the dockyards (moved from brest at great expense i might add) are closing and all former employees being drafted into the army...however the recent arrival of vichy french forces bolster the french peoples resolve and add significantly to the allied war efforst (well as much as any french born troop can do...an englsh soldier was heard to say this "umm really...cant we just keep their guns and send them back?")

more to come....

world news...NOW....: shocking developments in asia as the allies and the IJ sign a cease fire...after fierce and often bloody fighting the redoubtable japanese people and the intrepid allies have declared a cessation of hostilities...territory rightly claimed by japan has been given to their sphere of influence and australia and NZ have been liberated and now rest once again within the commonwealth...new nations have been liberated by the ever victorious and democratic japanese...now only china remains as a thorn to complete peace....with the usa continuing to fund their unjust war against the japanese will this draw the sleeping and treacherous giant to awaken...the allies feel that china is a japanese problem apparently and have refused to enter into renewed hostilities with japan...new japanese tanks were seen fighting in the DE and were more than an match for the ever valiant tank corps singapore (now reassigned to a new theater we suspect and being rearmed with more advance tanks)...with the end of hostilities in the east a flury of naval activity seems to be heading toward the med and fronts beyond....

europe: war still rages in spain with no less than two major HUN offenses and a massive aerial attack against civilian targets... doggedly the allied air power fought the HUN air forces but were defeated and unable to drive off the bombers...civilian casualties number in the tens of thousands...the supply chain is overloaded and the situation deteriorates daily...some reports counted over a thousand bombers...so many the skies darkened as they dropped their payloads of evil...new advanced HUN planes were more than a match for the rapidly ageing UK fighters...and though the allied pilots are the best in the world even their valor was overshadowed by technology...french heavy battleships providing naval gunfire were driven off as italian special force bombers managed to inflict considerable damage against these once queens of the sea...reports of the british carrier task force moving into theater may be more wish than fact...a second massive offensive rages in seville even now and the allied forces seem poised to break...could this spell the end of the english footprint on the continent...Supreme Commander Europe thinks otherwise..."with the addition of two new advance tank corps one mounting specially designed tank killers and the other carrying the workhorse of the english tank army the heavy matildas the tide may yet be turned...orders have been issued..no retreat no surrender no prisoners...desperate times...desperate measures...english resolve has once again been tested...and once again not found wanting"...brave words, brave deeds, brave soldiers...the world watches and waits...

east europe: in a shocking report this reporter was told that the soviet union formally renounced their NA pact with the HUN...though winter looms could a two front war be facing the HUN...is this the first sign of the bear in the east preparing to roar...will this effect the bloody battles raging in the iberian peninsula...or is this just postering and saber rattling aimed at getting concessions from the HUN...only time will tell...though this reporter was assured by highly placed government and military figures that even though the russian bear is evil...he isnt that evil (unlike the barbaric HUN and the treacherous Yankee) and some common ground might be found with them...diplomats depart london even as we speak to seek insight into the bears intentions...

med: major naval actions off italy...english heavy battleships catch italian cruisers in a sharp action off rome...the english naval liason, Lord bottoms-up reported that the entire italian task force was destroyed and no allied ships suffered more than scratches...though one loyal dog was a casualty as he valiantly jumped off the flagship attempting to board the italian cruiser Zara and secure her flag before she blew up...old hound as he was known hasnt been seen since and was awarded the victorian cross for valor...once again the english navy prevails...rule britannia

across the water: (in never never land): us diplomats vainly attempt to undermine allied moral...stating "why dont u just retreat to gibraltar" when asked by their british counterparts for aid against the HUN....such blatant disregard for the parternship forged under londons leadership after the great war has further eroded allied support for the aging and decrepit FDR who once again was reelected (voting fraud was suspected since the total votes cast outnumber the total population of the usa) in a landslide...as a result of this and the new upswing of religious fervor in the americas the english ambassador has been recalled pending a 'consultation' joining france as another allied nation withdrawing diplomatic support from this treacherous and villainous regime...is this the end of anglo-american goodwill...will the americans draw back once again into a shell of isolationism...or will they persecute an unjust war against japan in the name of a free china (free markets more likely...or is it the opium that FDR wants...is this some drug induced haze and he needs a fix...)...only time will tell....one thing is sure anglo-allied relations are at an all time low...and may never be repaired...

south america: brazilian forces begin arriving in england for training and refitting...the growing strength of the allied forces are only matched by the growing losses suffered in spain...can this cycle continue...will england stand eternal...or will it join france in pages of history..only time will tell but one thing is sure...war continues to wage across the globe with no end in sight

world news...NOW...:new allegations of allied malfeasance by members of the religious right chinese first faction (RRCFF) in the usa...allied governments accused of selling out china in an impassioned speach before congress...allied leaders respond with a canned statement: "had it not been for a complete and total lack of material and moral support from the people and government of the usa we would still be at war with the japanese....however once the scandal surfaced of major us firms supplying the HUN we felt no other choice then to seek common ground with our brave japanese counterparts...if this has resulted in the fall of china we lay the blame squarely with the government of the usa...we wish the best for the chinese people but wonder if perhaps they wont be better off under japanese rule..."

Europe: two major HUN offenses against seville...the first one repulsed quite easily by allied commanders who place a large degree of success upon that ever resilient and brave commander of Tank Corps Singapore who's timely arrival turned the tide of the HUN...the second offensive is still underway with more than 60 HUN divisions assualting as we speak...by all accounts more than 80 divisions have taken part in this massive effort to dislodge the allied forces...consiting of both massed infantry assualts and new never seen before panzer IV tanks with powerful 75mm cannons even the brave Tank Corps Singapore is faltering...a massive air battle proceeded the attack and newly arrived powerful hawker typhons were barely able to stave off total disaster...this marks the first time the allied air forces drove off the HUN planes...is this a sign of things to come or is this a brief respite from the terror bombing that the free people of spain have had to live with for so long...only time will tell....

the med: powerful allied bomber formations have leveled sicily and and sardina...as a reprisal to the terror bombing in spain allied air commanders were cleared to begin bombing civilian centers of the italian held positions...massive air battle resulted in the utter defeat of the aged italian air force by english spitfire fighter aircraft...is rome next or is this bombing a precursor to outright invasion...allied commanders are mum on the word...but the liason from the office of the worlds oceans (formerly 1st lord of the admiralty) Lord Bottoms-up had this to say "with the new understanding with our japanese partners in the east massive naval and air assets have been reassigned to the med...at least two heavy gun formations now patrol off the italian waters waiting to support whatever operation is deemed needing help..."...could this signal that allied commanders are willing to engage the HUN and his allies on the continent?...only time will tell (but this reported has been asked to begin covering the story of Old Hound...that faithful dog who single handed captured the flag of the italian flagship Zara...old hound may yet live...as british intelligence has found signs of him in Sicily....italian patriots at great risk to themselves sheltered the badly injured mutt and sent the flag as proof he yet lives...where he has gone is anyone's guess but england shall not rest until he is returned to the islands)

the far east: the peace with our partners in the east stands firm as the ambassador from england to japan hosted a nice dinner ball...it seems as if the unprovoked attack upon british possessions was indeed provoked...over zealous french indochina irregulars apparently crossed the indochina/chinese border and stole a cart of apples destined for the emperors birthday gala...and while those miscreants payed for their crime with their lives the french in a rare show of understanding (they had an emperor once) formally renounced claims on indochina...gifting it to the emperor for the lost apples...it seems as if this cease-fire might one day become a solid peace built on mutual respect and understanding

across the pond: usa turns down lend-lease for the UK blaming an accounting error...this has further soured anglo-american relations...and made allied commanders wonder if aid from abroad will ever come...

other news: france has announced that in response to the need for more capital ships that the ship yards in africa will once again begin producing modern battleships...this was so unexpected that a national holiday was created to immortalize this...the day of the big ships...shall forever more celebrate allied naval dominance...rule britannia....

The story of Old Hound:

this is the ongoing saga of Old Hound...the faithful companion of the captain of the HMS Valiant (Sir Humphrey Pumpernickel)...this faithful friend of Sir Humphrey attended the best schools alongside his master...and was a top graduate of the Naval Academy...he loyally followed his friend across the worlds oceans often marvelling at the breadth of the English Empire (his memoirs are as yet unpublished but are in fact being translated as we speak)...and was there at the commencement ceremony when Sir Humphrey accepted command of the fine battlewagon HMS Valiant in fall of 1938...

this story is too long and contains too many state secrets to publish in its entirety...but the most pertinent moment has been preserved in art, literature, and now a best selling song (charge of old hound...)...apparently as the HMS Valiant began to bracket the RM Zara Old Hound (being a veteran sea dog) sensed that the Zara was doomed (something the italian admiral must have missed as he refused to strike his colors...) and jumped overboard to seize her flag as a war memento (sailors will be sailors...never more true than old hound)...this one dog boarding action was caught on film and is being made into something called a major motion picture...starring that american actor who goes by the initials RR.....he bravely boarded the cruiser and was seen with the flagships flag in his teeth moments before 2 15" shells struck the Zara midships breaking her back sending her and all her crew to the bottom (and Old Hound as well it was presumed)...a major military parade was held at the tomb of that other naval hero Lord Nelson where Old Hound was interned in a closed casket....

however upon the shores of Sicily an italian fisherman and patriot Mr. Corleone (and sometimes petty thief if the facists are to be believed) found Old Hound with the flag drapped across his limp inert form...after weeks of hiding from facist police Old Hound grew strong enough to set out on his own...Mr. Corleone sent the flag (at Old Hounds request) via carrier pigeon (one big pigeon i imagine) to the english forces in Malta....a hurried council of war was held to rescue this mighty warrior and pride of the english fleet (rule britannia)...but by the time the SAS arrived (deftly camouflaged as 500LB bombs) Old Hound was nowhere to be seen...sources were conflicted...did Old Hound steal a small fishing boat (something he could easily man himself according to Sir Humphrey..."there isnt a craft that floats on english waters that old hound cant sail...that mutt taught me all i know about the ocean and probably has forgotten more than the italians ever knew") and try to make Malta?...or can the tale of one small girl Mrs. Loren be believed...she unequivocally stated to the SAS officer in charge that Old Hound intended to return to england via mainland france and was heading toward sardinia to arrange transport to france...

while the free world holds its breath fearing each day to hear that the HUN gestapo has caught Old Hound (quite a coup for Mr. Hitler since nothing else seems to have gone his way this war) and executed the brave mutt for being braver than the entire german/czech armies...top english planners are seeking a more robust solution to rescue him (no more bomb dropping SAS troops this reporter has been told)...what this plan is only time shall tell...but until that time...Old Hound if u are reading this know the free world is cheering for u and eagerly awaits ur return to mother england...

world news...NOW...:breaking...breathtaking...overwhelming news...the mighty arsenal of democracy...freedom loving people...defenders of the weak...guardians of freedom...the usa has entered into the mighty fray engulfing the world and has added its voice to those who say "we shall not give" and declared war on the axis...in a momentous day in may the united states of america entered into hostilities against the axis powers...and almost immediately its power and presence was felt as its fleets encountered powerful veteran ijn forces somewhere in the pacific..after a sharp and from all reports bloody engagement the us forces emerged victorious with the mighty bb colorado claiming the first of surely many to come battle flags...joining the besieged and self-sacrificing peoples of china the united states made a bold statement and is rushing to the aid of china (who readers shall remember were callously abandoned by the allied forces)...its factories are most assuredly pumping out weapons of freedom to remove the stain of tyranny and oppression from the globe...

europe: shocking news from central europe as the HUN suffered a major coup...yes the fuhrer is no more...news is scattered and stories fly but what is known is the the HUN leader has been retired to 'the country for memoir writing' in the pastoral lands of romania while a new and perhaps even more ruthless tyrant has arisen to steer the helm of the HUN alliance...in what is being called the musical chair of dictators apparently el moose has been asked by the fascist party of HUNland to take the helm of germany while his understudy in terror the vile ruler of romania has been ensconced in italy...what this will mean for the allies and the free world is anyones guess...but what is known is the newly minted leader of the evil trinity immediately wasted no time in making a statement by dowing the neutral (and possibly neutered) swiss...horror stories of terror not heard since the valiant ethopian peoples were mercilessly slaughtered in their homes are erupting from the once peaceful land of chocolate and cheese...allied leaders condemned the action with a bold statement of their own as sardina and corsica have been liberated from the self-styled romans...while bombs continued to pound the heart of the roman empire...rome burns and it burns bright as allied commanders where authorized to begin using incendiaries upon the once cradle of learning and the arts...reports of the damage is too heartbreaking to print here but let the following lead our readers to understand...it is said that allied bomber pilots who return from the now daylight raids over rome have to be replaced after sometimes as few as one run...such is the damage they have inflicted and the horror they have caused...in the land of chocolate and cheese the allies had this to say..."though we cannot come to the aid of switzerland we bleed with them...we hear their cry and let them die knowing they will be avenged...for every crime committed against them...tenfold will be committed to the HUN and his allies...those responsible for this vile action will be held accountable"

the med: major fleet actions took place off of HUN-italy as the ever valiant and victorious allied fleets pounded HUN-italy cruiser and battleship fleets...although no HUN-italy ships were lost massive damage was inflicted for no appreciable damage to allied naval vessels...rule britannia...french troops were tasked in what started as a search and rescue mission for old hound...and ended with the liberation of HUN-italy sardina and corsica...the story of old hound will be documented later but the story of the ever present and powerful allied navy shall be told here...french veteran troops were moved from the spainish front under great secrecy by the RN and began operations against HUN-italy sardina in the wee hours of the day...a prolonged engagement followed in what allied commanders stated consisted of 4 separate french battle hardened corps...HUN-italian troops were simply overwhelmed by allied air power and naval bombardment by over 40 surface vessels and were annihilated to the man...is sicily next...well the allied naval liason lord bottoms-up had this to say..."now that we have tested the HUN coastal defenses and found them pitiful no action in any theater is off the table...all targets are being looked at and are considered viable...the addition of over 10 us tank divisions to the gibraltar theater has freed significant allied forces more a more offensive posture"...brave words, hard words, words with meaning, we thank his lordship for this rare insight into allied planning...

asia: massive rioting in burma has led to a curfew as the citizens there proclaim their kinship with the now dying chinese peoples...as the usa announced it was joining the war against the HUN the peoples of asia angered at the callous sale of the DEI to the ij rose in voice against their allied colonial masters...allied leaders assured their respective empires of the necessity of a cease-fire with the honorable japanese empire...and reminded them of the infringement upon japanese sovereignty by french irregulars...but to no avail...a vote of no-confidence was narrowly defeated by that wiley english prime minister, that lion of the desert the cougster....in what is now being called the apple war the oppisition has begun a campaign to force the PM's hand and renounce the treaty...careful maneuvering by close supporters in the minstery of the worlds oceans (formerly the admiralty) revealed that the powerful english carrier flotilla is indeed still in pacific waters and is replenishing its stores even as we speak...and massive allied land and air assests are even now steaming for the pacific...what affect this blatant disregard for secrecy will have upon the fragile and very fresh rapport with the japanese high command is anyone's guess...but this reporter feels it wont be good...

across the pond: reports of us actions in the pacfic are sketchy but what is known is that the usa has invaded vietnam (formerly french indo-china) and has seized considerable territory...and apparently major naval actions have taken place though to what affect this reporter wasnt able to determine...the islands of the pacific are falling at an alarming rate to the us as the japanese sphere of influence is shrinking rapidly...china appears on the brink of collapse as reports from there are teaming with japanese atrocities and victorious...massive civilian casualties are being reported and chinese forces appear unable to stem the tide of the ija...will china fall and if it does will the ija turn its attention to burma once again...or will those freedom loving americans arrive in time...the world holds its breath waiting for answers...though not formally in the allies those freedom loving religious zealots in america have amassed considerable amounts of aid and shipped it to churchs across the empire...thus freeing up resources for more weapons of war...an accounting error was reversed as the usa shipped yet more material to the besieged allies...to the thanks and praise of allied commanders everywhere...the commander of tank corps singapore had this to say "what the usa has done may very well save the allies...now with this massive infusion of capital a major upgrade of our forces was made possible and my corps is now the sinlge most powerful weapon in the free worlds arsenal...the lads are itching for a fight and a fight we shall give them"

other news: french naval yards are on strike in protest to president senior-rodent gopher's announcement of renouncing claims to indochina...all work on the mighty ships has been halted and the malcontents jailed...what this means to allied naval production is as yet unknown...but the french president has been mum on the issue surely not a good sign...

the saga continues:

Old Hound...the very name sends chills down the spine of his enemy and hope to his friends...mothers are naming their children after him...and fathers are wishing they could be him...can any one dog do more than him...well placed inside sources from HUN-land report that the ouster of that legendary terror of democracy had its orgins with old hound and the inspiration he provided to allied troops in the spainish trenches...whether this is true or not is impossible to tell...what is known is the invaluable support old hound gave in the conquest of corsica...and this is his tale...

knews of old hounds impending arrival in sardina was meet with great elation by that islands oppressed population...hasty preparations were made by the local resistance to provide shelter for the faithful mutt...and to find him a way to france...and further the allied high command was made aware of his position for possible extraction...high command decided that SAS troopers wouldnt be enough to extract old hound so a more forceful solution was proposed by a young captain by the name of fritzpatrich archibald montgomery III...no relation general montgomery...this aspiring young officer proposed an out right invasion of sardina by crack veteran french divisions currently enjoying some R&R in southern spain...plans were laid and resources made available for the enterprise...coyly named operation 'cat in the bag'....

well in the mean time old hound indeed sailed his appropriated trawler brazenly into harbor...the italians never very swift at war to begin with simply watched as the mutt sailed up the main ship channel and beached his craft...by the time the stunned italians were able to respond old hound had disappeared into the countryside...his exploits at this point are too numerous to catalog here...highlights include: rescuing a young farm girl from HUN-italian police, then burning said police station...stealing food for the starving population from HUN army officer tents, while simultaneously uncovering HUN-italian beach defense plans...and calling in locations for allied bomber pilots of HUN-italian coastal guns...suffice it to say that the heroic endeavors of old hound saved countless civilian and allied lives...and caused much harm to HUN plans...it is here that the story of old hound takes a turn for the unbelievable..

even as the french forces were streaming ashore victorious in sardina...did old hound wait for his rescuers to arrive...no this wiley mutt decided that more was yet to be done...he promptly secured the the services of a very fine rowboat and made his way to corsica where the HUN-italian forces grimly waited for the allies to continue their assualt...through a combination of ralling the local partisan forces (by using his mastery of the french language picked up during a torrid affair with the french naval attache to londons pet poodle) and nighttime commando style raids (learned from Sir Humphrey's time commanding an adhoc naval-marine force in china) he single pawedly struck fear and terror in the local HUN-italian general...so much so that the general was convinced landings had all ready started...panicked the commander ordered his men to fall back to the main port for a general retreat...however here is were fate reared its ugly head: even as the main force was withdrawing local HUN advisers determined to leave only blood behind as a legacy of their rule, began to machine gun a small village...old hound hearing the cries of the civilians charged in headlong with no regard for his own life and routed the HUN platoon...however during the fight he suffered grievous wounds and was indeed captured by HUN-italian forces (more like was scooped up by the fleeing forces who had no idea who they had aquired)...during the confusion of the evacuation (called for after it was indeed learned that french forces bent on revenge were heading into harbor) old hound was placed on a vessel that was steaming for sicily...

had the faithful mutt but waited on sardina he would be safely reunited with Sir Humphrey even now...but no his calling was a higher one and he sacrificed himself to save others...what is his fate...do the HUN forces know who they have captured...is old hound still alive...did the HUN-italian scow make it to sicily...these are questions that haunt a nation...a nation that grieves
