This raid is extremely expensive for you. 1 to 1 in losses against buffalos is very bad. Even if the Oscar 1b is not quite there in terms of weaponry, it still should attain at least 2 to 1 in losses.

A few tips:
1. Have 2 squadrons on call for this. One has sweep orders, the other one LRCAP over the enemy base.
2. Altitude, altitude, altitude. The mechanics favour diving over maneuvrability. Whoever gets the dive, most likely gets the kill.
3. You need to actually grow a pilot corps. The way I did it - every pilot that had reached 80 went to the reserve. Also - make sure you set-up a pilot training system, without good pilots to replace your losses, you have no chance in mid-war. Not to mention late-war.
