Hi everyone, let's discuss the rules.
I'd propose we look at the rules for the USA time zone and start from there.

Rules from the USA TZ group are going thru re-eval due to MTG (among other things).

I would recommend something like.

-historical timeline, Axis has to hit the key events (Japanese att vs China, Germany att vs Pol, Germany att vs Sov's) within a reasonable time (+/- 90 days)

-no influencing/coups against player nations, nations must stay with their historical ideology

-no declarations of without a focus before Germany attacks Poland

-anything that is an exploit of the rules or mechanics is banned.

there are probably some areas that need detailed rules, but the above will be a good starting point.

since our first game is us 3 against the super-ai, let's go with this.
I've read the discussion on the USA timezone forum, it seems there was a sealion in 1937 that the UK was unprepared for, using the Italian navy as cover force. Interesting idea.
So, now they're talking about limiting the German entrance into war to 1939 onwards. I'll watch this and when we get more players, we'll revisit the rules.

Yeah, that pretty much trashed that game. But Germany player did it to prove a point, that historical timeline rules should be used.
