France Stands Alone

Lessons have been learned. Though we lost the war, French honor was maintained through our glorious feats of arms. Of the several dozen battles fought between our soldiers and the feckless cretins of our opponents, there were only a small handful where we did not take the day.

Nonetheless, we approached the peace table in good faith, despite the cowardly attacks against us. We will respect the treaty agreed to by all parties.

A series of Pyrrhic victories isn’t much to be proud of. I’ll yet see your men run like cowards when I am inevitably, and probably soon, attacked in a similar manner.
